Our Story
Dan and Caitlin met in December 2007, the start of Caitlin's freshman year of college, at a Christmas party at their advisor's house. It was love at first site for Caitlin (she even jokingly told her mom after the party "Well I found the man I am going to marry") but it took Dan a few more months and another party before he felt similar and asked their advisor for Caitlin's number. While Caitlin studied at Canisius College, she also ran a customized apparel business in the basement of Christ the King Chapel. It was here where Dan and Caitlin's relationship flourished as they worked long hours trying to grow the business together.
Many of Caitlin and Dan's earliest dates consisted of Caitlin joining Dan in his duties on the Board of Education, including many school sporting and music events. She wasn't always a fan of sitting out in the cold, but was willing to accompany Dan anyway.
Dan quickly got to learn just how many cousins, aunts and uncles Caitlin had. Between annual the Slattery family vacation at the Jersey Shore and Family Reunion and the Kowalczyk family compound, Caitlin was always eager to test Dan's ability to remember everyone's name. Luckily for Dan, he passed the test.
After college in 2012, Caitlin moved to Boston to work at a business consulting firm for what she thought would be for a year or two. Four years later on February 13, 2016, while Dan and Caitlin were on their way to their monthly volunteer group, Dan proposed in the middle of Boston Common.
With what will be 9 years of dating, Dan and Caitlin are so excited to be getting married on 9.16.2017. We are thrilled to begin our life together as husband and wife and we can't wait to have you all there with us to celebrate.
